While going to school and starting my businesses, I realized school is really good at teaching you to be an employee, but it doesn’t teach you to create value & it doesn’t teach you anything about financial literacy. That’s why we’re here. And, no, we are not trying to sell you one of those “bootcamps” or “masterclasses” on how to get rich. A community of hustlers and entrepreneurs; we are on a mission to motivate, teach, and inspire entrepreneurs and hustlers to be the best they can be, because average sucks. Only a minority of people will risk it all to make their dreams a reality - will you? #ThinkMinority Entrepreneurs | Hustlers | Innovators | Investors So let’s go over my 5 favorite negotiation strategies. 1. No matter how low the offer is, Repeat the price as if it was out of the world. You don’t want to make them a counter offer off the bat because then you will pin yourself on the price. Let them negotiate against themselves before you say what you are willing to pay. 2. Two, after they negotiate against themselves you respond with one simple sentence. You will have to do better than that & SHUT UP. This will make them get flustered. Let them talk with themselves, and try to figure it out. Silence is on eof the most powerful negotiation tactics because it puts them on edge, no one wants to be in that awkward silence but if you know what you are doing, you will make your self some money. a. Now a good negotiator will always want to qualify what you ask. So if you ask you need to do better, a good negotiator will ask how much better. 3. Breathe through your teeth, is that the best you can do. One of my favorite ones a. After you did the first two, get them now to give you their best price possible. The little bit of acting might seem weird, but it works. 4. Get approval let me talk to someone else to get it approved (put the blame on someone else) don’t say a person. BC then they will want to tlak to that person, keep that person vague. Now after you feel like you got them to the lowest they are willing to go, make a counter offer. 5. Be ready to walk away Remember the upper hand is held by the person who can walk away, so don’t be scared to do so. And whatever you do, don’t let them know you are in a rush - if you are not prepared to walk away you have already set yourself up to losing/unfavorable situation.
